Co-operative Bank launches ad campaign

03/07/2008

Manchester-based The Co-operative Bank has launched a new advertising campaign aimed at promoting the bank's commitment to customer satisfaction.

The campaign comprises television and press adverts, as well as direct mail and in-store radio.

One of the TV adverts was produced by Manchester's Silver Films and was filmed on various locations in the northwest.

Silver Films director Richard Oliver said that The Co-operative Bank had deliberately chosen not to film the adverts in exotic overseas destinations.

"For an ethical organisation such as The Co-operative Bank, it was appropriate to help lower the carbon footprint by filming in the UK," he remarked.

Silver Films recently produced a short online promotional film entitled Bring It On for sportswear giant Umbro, which comprised images of football clubs and fans from around the country.

The bank's advertising spree comes after the Co-operative group invested £200 million in a large modernisation programme, which has resulted in more than half of its outlets being refitted and rebranded.
